Fresh Blood is an acrylic, effect product from the Vallejo Game Color range.

• Acrylic - Acrylic paints are water-based and quick drying, typically drying within minutes after application. This allows painters to apply multiple layers quickly. They can be diluted with water and are easier to clean up than oil paints.
• Effect - Effect paints for miniature painting are specialized formulations designed to realistically simulate specific textures and materials that would be difficult to achieve with standard paints, or take multiple steps. Effects can include such things as blood, rust, gore, slime, gems etc.
